Workshop “Fundamental research – New Materials”

Dear colleagues,
We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming OPERA Workshop “Fundamental research – New Materials”, which will be held in Madrid-Spain, April 19-21, 2023. This workshop is organized in the continuity of the Euro-MBE conference and at the same location (deadline December 27th, 2022, www.eurombe2023.com) but is open to all the epitaxial techniques and 2D materials regardless of the growth technique. The content of the Workshop will cover the scientific tasks of the Action related to Work Group 1 by taking an interdisciplinary and cross-community approach to key developments in epitaxy, new theoretical and experimental for the maturation of epitaxial materials, and novel functionalities for next-generation devices. To master the material growth under various forms (2D film, 3D structures, nanostructures); and to develop and control the growth of new materials (whatever the epitaxial technique), it is essential to understand the fundamental mechanisms driving their synthesis by closely combining theoretical and experimental approaches. We welcome your attendance and especially encourage the participation of young scientists and look forward to receiving your abstracts: deadline is on 3rd February 2023. General information:

• The workshop is free of conference fees;
• The EU COST action OPERA may financially support the participation of scientists from target ITC countries in the workshop. Details can be found in the attached form. If you wish to apply for COST funding please send the attached form filled to opera-registration@clermont-auvergne-inp.fr before the 15th February 2023. The decision by the COST organization will be communicated by the beginning of March.
